Following the poll to pick the next SSB EP and Album (or album and album ) see below details for the Woodstock Project. I’ve tried to keep it as brief and to the point as possible so please don’t hesitate to ask if Brij and I have missed anything or you just have any questions.
Theme: Woodstock 1969 – your submission should appear on the 1969 set list which Brij has compiled into a useful Google doc here:
We wanted to push for as much interest as possible so your submission doesn’t have to be a straight up cover of that played in ’69. Re-write it, genre bend it whatever you like, I guess ultimately the lyrics should be pretty much the same as the original. The thinking here is to have an album that feels like a mixture of the original event and what it would sounds like today if the same songs were played but in more modern twist.
Please email your track requests to Woodstock2014@flabby-toad.co.uk . We’ll take these on a first come first serve basis.
Submission Date: By 20th July Album Date: Aiming for 15th August (45th Anniversary of the original event) Submission Format: We’ll send out DropBox links, .WAV format Limit to the number of submissions: No Collaborations: Absolutely
Hello all. After a bad spate of the flu in both Martin and my households we are back manning the post boxes for your entries. It is very gratifying to see the speed being picked up in the 70s tribute album (reminds me to start work on my submission) and I am sure the coming month will be focused on that. However let me take this opportunity to remind you that there is currently no limit on submissions you can make, so why not block some of your favourite woodstock tracks while people are still focused on other stuff. If you find later that you missed out you really will have no one else to blame now, will you? ;P
So we are back in business, come one come all and pick out your submissions for the woodstock album.
Yes indeed Pep (AKA onwee). The submissions are still open and will remain open for a while. You can drop me your request as a message in this forum, or you can mail me at Woodstock2014@flabby-toad.co.uk with a copy to email@example.com.
Now that Rhod is close to releasing the 70s album (Big Salute to you Rhod - you kept the album on a tight schedule and have ensured that the momentum of 6SB is still ongoing. I thought JMan would be a tough act to follow, but you have just upped the ante ) I thought it was time to update the progress of the Woodstock album, as contributors and aspiring contributors would be having the space and time required to work on this album.
As of 4th May the state of play is, 1. No. of booked tracks - 9 2. No. of individual contributors - 6 3. No. of group bookings - 0 4. No. of tracks available for booking - 303
So as you can see there is enough variety to choose from. So why don't you use this weekend to peruse the catalog [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmNvaQsW0-ekdE5QbWZNTUZmSFdCb0ZxVUN1UGFZanc&usp=sharing] and decide on your picks. Send me or Martin a ping at Woodstock2014@flabby-toad.co.uk with a copy to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will reserve it for ya.
Oh! I did forget the most important statistic,
5. No. of tracks completed and submitted - 2 Yes! indeed, we are ON.

Peace and love my friends. It is almost the mid of July. As both of us are amateurs at this production gig we would like to request that you start turning in the tracks as soon as you can, as we are sure it will take us more time than Jan or Jan-2 (Rhod) to get this album out. Also lots of tracks are still up for grabs for anyone who might want to pick up a new song
The shock and horror of listening to my self on playback ( just finished 183(ish) guitar story about the recording feat) having figured out how to record has given renewed respect for the contributors to the albums.
Well, the bad news is, I'm afraid I'm going to be one of those last minute submissions, as the deadline all snuck up on me and stuff. The better news is I'll probably be able to throw something together, just under the wire.
